The 2010 Senior Prom will be held at the Southbury Crowne Plaza on Saturday May 1, 2010 from 6:30-11pm. A prom ticket and class t-shirt will be distributed to all seniors who have already paid their senior dues in full. Tickets will be distributed during the week of April 5, 2010 during lunch waves. For any student who did not pay his/her senior dues in full, prom tickets will be available for purchase for $80. Seniors may also purchase $80 tickets for dates from another grade or school, provided they meet the criteria included in the student handbook, during the week of April 5th. For dates outside of the senior class and/or outside of Newtown High School, a photocopy of a driver’s license AND a current school ID must be shown at the time of purchase. This year’s Junior Prom will be held March 26, 2010. The Junior Class officers are busy planning an incredible evening of dinner, dancing, and fun. Tickets for the prom will be on sale the week of March 15 – March 19. Tickets are $60 per person. For questions, please see Mrs. Sherman or Mrs. Wolfson in the Math office.

The Interact Club will be collecting gently used prom dresses or brides maid gowns through the end of May. These dresses will be donated to an organization that will provide them to girls who cannot afford to purchase them for themselves. Please help us with our cause – empty out your closets and give to a young girl who will greatly appreciate your generosity. The dresses can be brought to the main office.  It would be greatly appreciated and very helpful if dresses were accompanied by a suitable hanger.  Thank you for you help!

Tickets for the prom ($60 per person and $120 per couple) will be on sale this week, and this week only, before and after school in Portables #2 and during lunch in the cafeteria.

The Leo Club is hosting a Prom Fashion Show & Sale in the Lecture Hall on March 31st from 4-6. Discounted designer samples will be on sale after the show. Anyone interested in modeling for the show should attend the Leo Club meeting on March 23 in B150.

The Junior Prom is almost here. Your junior class officers, Ben Miles, Felicia Pan, Kristen Tanner, Kyle O’Connor, Megan Bridges, and Nahba Bropleh, have been busy planning the event of the junior year. Tickets for the prom are $60 per person and will be on sale the week of March 16 – 20 only. On Monday, March 16, juniors will be given an emergency contact form in homeroom. This form must be filled out by the student attending the prom and turned in to the ticket seller at the time the ticket is bought. The Junior Class officers have been busy making plans for the Junior Prom.  The Junior Prom will be held Friday evening, March 27, at The Inn at Villa Bianca.  The dance will include a full dinner, sensational DJ who will play requests all night long, and an on-site photographer.  Tickets are $60 a person and will be on sale during the second week of March only.  More information will follow after February break.
