This weekend the Quiz Bowl team participated in the first annual Connecticut Invitational tournament at Southington High School. For the first time since our club’s inception, we were able to bring three teams to this tournament, allowing many new and novice players to experience Quiz Bowl for the first time. The big news of the day, though, was that our experienced A-Team went undefeated for the entire tournament (9-0) and beat the other undefeated team going into the finals to win the championship game! The team (pictured above, left to right, seniors Amar Agashe and Louis Belanger, junior Eliana Kohrman-Glaser, and senior Sam Norcross) again qualified for the NAQT National Championships in Chicago with this win, for an almost unheard-of double-qualifying season.
