Eight portable classrooms are anticipated to be delivered to the high school within the next month.  They will be placed in the lower parking lot near the current portable classrooms (4 rooms).  The portable classrooms will help to ease the crowded conditions until the expansion project has been completed.  A group of teachers is currently preparing to advise the principal as to how the portable classrooms shall be populated next fall.

Attention Juniors!  Temporary parking permits have been extended until the end of the first semester.  Students with temporary permits should make arrangements to pay $32.50 for the first half of the school year.  Mr. Chase in the security office will begin collecting these fees the week of October 14-17 (checks only) and issuing the permit decals to be displayed on the windshield of the vehicle.  Students who do not redeem their green temporary voucher by 2:00PM on October 17th will lose their opportunity to purchase a permit.  In the event construction is delayed beyond the start of the first semester, students with temporary permits will be required to pay the additional funds on a month-to-month basis.  Your homeroom teacher will provide further details.

In consideration of the delays in the construction project, it is anticipated that there will be approximately an additional 100 parking spaces that will be temporarily available.  Read the rest of this entry »
