music-standNewtown Continuing Education is proud to offer you the Newtown Community Band. Have you been thinking that you would like to blow the dust off an old instrument that you haven’t played in a while and begin playing again? Do you play at home now and then and think about what it would be like to be a part of a musical group and have a chance to perform again? Well here is your opportunity! Join the Newtown Community Band. Auditions are not required. You should be able to play (or have played) at a beginning high school level and be able to read music. Our members range from high school students to retirees. Any and all instruments are welcome but you must bring your own (except percussionists). For more information contact Robert Nolte at nolter@newtown.k12.ct.us or the Continuing Education Office at www.continuinged.org, 426-1787.
