Students in the Advanced Culinary program manage the Snack Shack for all sporting events held at the Blue & Gold Stadium. This talented group of students create and staff their own rotating schedule and make feeding 1,000+ spectators seem easy. The practical application of classroom knowledge and dedicated work ethic are inspired by their leaders, Chefs Brian Neumeyer and Steve O Shana, and their irreplaceable assistant, Lori Hoagland.

NewTek is a Newtown High School Enterprise that specialize in computer repair, software and hardware installation and upgrading, diagnosis and repair of desktops, Dell Certified laptop repair, data transfer and technical support.  You can find more info here.

Newtown Graphics, an Enterprise Company of Newtown High School, recently printed 5000 “Safety Cards” for district wide distribution. The cards were one of the first production projects to be printed in color using all digital technology. This is a big departure from traditional printing methods and involved a color laser printer purchased through the federally funded Perkins Grant.

Second year graphics students Matt Hill and Alex Martens spear-headed the production work for this project, dealing directly with Judy Blanchard, Newtown Public Schools Health Director, and the Newtown Police Department to Read the rest of this entry »
